What were your best and worst experiences this week?

Which consumer happenings cheered you this week and which ones made you want to scream or weep?

Here are my best and worst consumer experiences this week:

My best: New outfits from Diva Boutique

My niece Suzi Coombs had a trunk show, featuring Joseph Ribkoff fashions, at her shop in Bellingham, Wash., Diva Boutique.

A fun event, we drank champagne, ate chocolate brownie mini-cupcakes, and tried on the new spring clothes.

I bought a perky summer dress that looks like modern art. I’m visualizing myself wearing it for a Madrid vacation this spring.

I also bought a jacket and the green skirt I wrote about on St. Patrick’s Day. Next year, I’ll be ready for the celebration.

My worst: Misinformation from Office Depot

Office Deot IMG_0452

When I was doing errands yesterday, I went to Office Depot to spend my coupons before they expired.

I asked a sales associate to show me where the copy paper and file folders on sale were. I put them in my cart with other items.

When my items were being checked out, the cashier told me that I had the wrong brand of copy paper AND file folders. It took time to get it all straightened out.

I’m glad another cashier came to help the person waiting behind me. Waiting with her daughter, she was looking perplexed.
