Which consumer happenings cheered you recently and which ones made you want to scream or weep?
Here are my best and worst consumer experiences this week:
My best: Shopping at Diva Boutique in Bellingham, Washington.

My sister and I went shopping at a dress shop, Diva Boutique, owned by my niece Suzi Coombs.
We had a great time. The shop, filled with great styles and colors, cheers you up.
I got a beautiful jacket with modern art print and a red shirt with a square neckline. My sister bought four jackets, including the great modern art print one.
My worst: A grumpy cashier at Walgreens
When my sister and I went to Walgreens to buy a pen, the cashier wasn’t cheerful. She had a tag that said if she didn’t tell us about the special features, we’d get a free disposable camera.
I asked her about it twice. The first time she said we weren’t eligible because we didn’t buy anything. We had asked where the pens were located.
When we bought the pens, she asked if we wanted to make a donation to a charity. I inquired again about the special features. She said one was the donation, and the other was candy. She said she didn’t offer us candy because she had heard me say I didn’t eat sugar, which she somehow misinterpreted into I was allergic to nuts. The candy had nuts.
All in all, a strange encounter.
