Today’s consumer tip: File a complaint when you have a problem

Few consumers these days file consumer complaints. That’s unfortunate because businesses, corporations, and governments need to know when things aren’t being done right so they can make corrections.

See “Filing Consumer Complaints” for the steps you can take to make your voice heard: contact the seller, file a complaint with the attorney general’s office and/or Better Business Bureau, and try dispute resolution or contacting an attorney.

So, give it a try. It’s much easier to file complaints now that many companies and agencies accept complaints online.
