Like most people, I love chocolate – any kind of chocolate. A box of chocolate from the supermarket or drug store is fine with me. However, I really enjoy Belgium chocolate when I visit my daughter in Madrid.
So, since I’m not a chocolate connoisseur, I read a dozen articles that recommended the best chocolates.
Most often rated highly in the articles are Godiva Chocolatier, Jacques Torres Chocolate, L.A. Burdick Chocolates, La Maison du Chocolat, Lindt, Michel Cluizel, Recchiuti Confections, and Vosges Haut-Chocolat.
Also mentioned frequently are Fran’s, French Broad, Norman Love Confections, Veruca Chocolates, and Xocolatti.
Here’s a listing of the articles for further information:
“Best Chocolate in the U.S.” – Food & Wine
“The Best Chocolates You Can Get for Valentine’s Day” – Business Insider
“The 10 Best Chocolatiers in the World” – National Geographic
“9 Best Gourmet Chocolates for 2019” – The Spruce Eats
“Chocolates” – Consumer Reports
“The 9 Best Chocolate Gifts for Any Occasion” – Epicurious
“Top Artisan Chocolates for Gift Giving” – Forbes
“The Best Boxed Chocolate” – Wirecutter
“Cocoa Power: Best Chocolate in America” – Food Network

After reading and writing about chocolate for hours, I sure wish I had some right now. When I go out tomorrow since most of the snow is getting melted, I’m going to buy some.

This is very useful information. Thank you! I was looking for some special chocolate myself.
Hi Kate,
Thanks. I’ll be able to recognize more of the chocolate brands now.
