Always remember that retirement is not required…even if you have enough money. You can continue to work and love the idea that, if the employer messes with you enough, you can tell them to put that job where the sun doesn’t shine!!! It really makes working quite enjoyable!!! 🙂

You’re right. Baby boomers don’t have to retire. Many plan to continue to work as they get older, some because they want to and others because they can’t afford to retire. Some look for more meaningful part-time jobs. Others volunteer.
However, studies show that as many 45 percent of baby boomers are ill-prepared for retirement. If they don’t take action, they can end up poor in retirement.

I want to add to these tips: “get a job abroad”. Indeed, many developing countries are in need for the expertise of the baby boomers. And they are willing to pay a lot of money for this expertise. So, baby boomers can delay their retirement to save more money for their retirement.
