The U.S. Postal Service has announced the deadlines for the 2025 holiday season for the Lower 48 states. They’re the recommended send-by dates for expected delivery before Dec. 25:
USPS Ground Advantage Service Dec. 17
First-Class Mail Service Dec. 17
Priority Mail Service Dec. 18
Priority Mail Express Service Dec. 20
For Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and U.S. Territories the dates are:
USPS Ground Advantage Service Dec. 16
First-Class Mail Service Dec. 17
Priority Mail Service Dec. 18
Priority Mail Express Service Dec. 20
For military mail, the mailing deadline for USPS Ground Advantage has already passed. For First-Class Mail Service and for Priority Mail Service, it’s Dec. 9. For most Priority Mail Express Military Service the date is Dec. 16.
For international shipping, it’s Dec. 9 for Australia, Canada, Europe, Mexico, and the Middle East. For Central America and South America, it’s Dec. 2.
The actual delivery date the packages arrives may vary based on origin, destination, post office acceptance time, and other conditions, the U.S.P.S. said in its announcement.
