Super Bowl LII is history. Not a football fan, I only watch it to write about how bad the ads are. It’s a violent game, and I’ve wondered for years about its appeal. However, I’m glad that research is finally coming out about how dangerous football is in terms of concussions that have long-term implications in brain damage.

The ads this year? Again, too violent with ageism making a comeback

Boomer blogger Meryl Baer, also not a football fan, writes about living in a land enamored of the Philadelphia Eagles, with a sea of green swept over everything and everyone for weeks. Baer rooted for the home team, cheered when they won, then returned to her blogging duties at Six Decades and Counting to pen the Best of Boomer Blogs #533.

She reports boomer bloggers are writing about why listening is important, why people should be willing to make adjustments in their lives, how deep breathing exercises reduce stress, the faults of the American health care system, how to maintain good health, the importance of setting goals rather than making resolutions, what to do about Equifax’s free Lock & Alert offer, and whether cold weather helps you live longer.
