I thought I was done writing about the assassination of Pres. John F. Kennedy.
However, I read the article “Kennedy Assassination Was the Pivot in the Lives of Baby Boomers” by David Horsey, cartoonist and political commentator for the Los Angeles Times.
Horsey said that baby boomers were too young to fully appreciate how Kennedy’s assassination would send their Leave-It-To-Beaver lives in a new direction.
He said:
It was the beginning of the end of our innocence. Even 50 years later, it feels like a promise unfulfilled, a dream stolen.
Take a look at the article. It’s a thoughtful analysis for boomers.
