Yesterday was Easter Sunday. Today is April Fools’ Day. I wonder if that’s ever happened before?
In the painful category, one of my state legislators said the Senate had released a budget, the House agreed, and they were going home early. I believed it until I got to the end of the post. If only it were so.
One of the best jokes I ever pulled was on a co-worker. We worked on publications together. I told her that the boss said we needed to move our deadline up significantly for a project, and we were going to have to work long, extra hours.
It worked well because I’m usually a serious person about work.

Have a great April Fools’ Day. Happily, the sun is shining here, and that’s no joke.
The photo above, which I took yesterday, is of the Washington State Legislative Building, in which the legislature has not yet reached an agreement on the budget.
