How are you spending your $38, the estimated amount Americans will spend on the holiday this year? On beer? On Guinness? On green beer?
I’m celebrating everything Irish today and remembering the wonderful trip my daughter and I had two years ago to Ireland.
This is grandmother Laura Baylee Slingsby, whose parents were born in Ireland.
We learned from research done on our ancestor Henry Baylee that he lived in Kilkishen, County Clare. We decided to go to Ireland to learn more about him and the Baylee family.
This is where Henry Baylee farmed.
We were able to meet some of his descendants who live in the area. What an exciting visit.

But most of all, I felt really at home in Ireland. When I flew in to Dublin, it was like I was coming home.
