These days, October is the beginning of the holiday shopping season. Make your list and start comparing prices. You may find prices in October that are as good as Black Friday deals. And, you won’t need to worry as much that the store will be out of what you’re looking for.
Retailers are offering sales this month and Amazon is getting in on the October action, too.
Sale dates are:
- Oct. 6-12: Target Circle Week
- Oct. 8-9: Amazon Prime Big Deal Days
- Oct. 8-9: Best Buy’s 48-hour Flash Sale. It will offer additional sales on Oct. 21 and Oct. 25-28.
- Oct. 8-13: Walmart Holiday Deals
Look for price reductions on small kitchen appliances, grills, patio furniture, plants, jeans, lawn mowers, camping gear, tools, and more.
Keep an eye out for sales, too, for Halloween items. They often appear the last week in October.
Skip buying TVs, the latest iPhone, laptops, electronics, and winter clothing this month. Prices will be better at the Black Friday sales in November.

I wonder if the Prime Day sales will be as good as Black Friday. I’m thinking about buying a GoPro and maybe a new Canon SLR.
