Baby boomer get back to work after a tumultuous week

Your-Vote-CountsThe nomination of Brett Kavanaugh was controversial when it was first announced due to his right-wing views. However, when multiple charges of sexual assault emerged, and the Republicans on the Senate Judiciary Committee disregarded them, tensions grew. In the end, though, the Republican soldiers, and one Democrat, lined up and followed their president, who mocked professor Christine Blasey Ford liked he mocked a disabled reporter and others.

What to do? I stewed about it all day Saturday, then wrote “Yes, There Will Be Thousands of More Deaths Because Brett-Kavanaugh Is on the Supreme Court.”

As my readers know, my interests are in writing about consumer issues. Researchers estimate 80,000 extra deaths will occur each decade due to Trump's anti-environmental and pro-industry policies. Kavanaugh will support these policies in the Supreme Court like he’s sided with businesses against the public interest in his years as a federal court judge.

What’s next? Vote. Vote the Republicans out. It’s obvious by now that their anti-regulation, government slashing policies benefit corporations, not consumers.

Meanwhile, my baby boomer blogging friends are putting Kavanaugh behind them and providing their readers with helpful information.
