Make sure no one in your family has one of these defective doorknobs.
Prime-Lone is recalling about 167,000 glass doorknobs in the United States and 10,265 in Canada.
The doorknobs can crack and separate from the doorknob assembly, posing a laceration hazard to consumers.
This recall involves Prime-Line glass doorknobs sold under the Defender Security, Gate-House, and Reliabilt brand names. They have fluted glass knobs and were sold in bronze, brass, satin nickel, matte black, and chrome finishes.
The model number can be found on the top right of the packaging.
The doorknobs were sold at home improvement stores and online at Amazon.com, Wayfair.com, and other websites from February 2022 through April 2023. The cost was between $20 and $45.
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled doorknobs and contact Prime-Line for instructions on how to receive a refund, the company and U.S. Consumer Product Commission advise.
