What were your best and worst consumer experiences this week?

Which consumer happenings cheered you this week and which ones made you want to scream or weep?

Here are my best and worst consumer experiences this week:

My best: No cavities

Rita by Miami Pool

Since I’ve had some bone loss in my lower teeth, I’m now getting my teeth cleaned three times a year instead of twice.

The good news? No cavities this time. Maybe the electric toothbrush is helping.

My worst: Another failure by Ritzpix

I’m preparing for the arbitration for my failed metal shingle roof. I needed to get about 60 photos printed before Ritz Camera closed at 7 p.m.

At about 5:30 p.m., I started up loading photos. I selected “Fast” rather than “Super Fast” because I thought I’d get better quality. I wanted to show where the leaks are occurring on the ends of the fascia boards.

The uploading was tremendously slow. About 6:15 p.m., I knew I wasn’t going to be able to get the photos because Ritz Camera needs an hour to print them. Then Firefox crashed. I knew it was all over.

I tried to figure out what could be done to get photos at 7 p.m. I decided to go to Costco.

The photos weren’t too bad. However, the drips of water didn’t show up very well on one of my most crucial photos. Now that the preliminary meeting with my attorney is over, I’ll try Ritz Cameras again. This time, I’ll take them on a disk.
