The best
When I was at Costco, I saw a display of boxes of chocolate wrapped in a holiday ribbon. I thought, I’ll get one for my friend who doesn’t get out much.
I was able to go for a visit and paired the chocolates with bottle of Spanish wine from the Marques de Riscal winery, a winery north of Madrid that my daughter and I visited.
I often write about avoiding impulse items, but this one was good.
The worst
The worker who cleaned my roof for two years isn’t available this year because he’s started his own roofing business.
I finally found a man to clean my roof that was highly recommended by a friend.
We finally connected and set today as the date for the work.
However, it was 24 degrees this morning. It’s too dangerous to be climbing on an icy roof.
We’ll set up a date after this cold snap ends.
