Today, I’m thinking about my mom, Ruth L. Slingsby. She was a good kid. That’s what she used to say to me even when I was an adult.
My mom passed away on July 14, 2005. Here’s a tribute I wrote about her.
Today, I’m unable to be with my daughters and grandchildren. I usually go to Madrid in May to celebrate with my daughter because we both have birthdays in May. Celebrating Mother’s Day with her and the kids is a plus.
However, I fractured my kneecap last year in August. I didn’t know if I’d be recovered enough for a long, overseas trip this May, so I didn’t get a ticket early this year.
I hope things are going well in your life and that you’re having a good Mother’s Day celebration.
