Baby boomers wonder if it’s really spring

Spring on VermontMeryl Baer blogging at Six Decades and Counting spent the first weekend of April in Vermont, standing at a window appalled at the falling snow. It’s spring, Baer says. Time to pack away sweaters, boots, ski jackets.

She quotes Mark Twain as saying, “In the spring, I have counted 136 different kinds of weather inside of 24 hours.”

Although the weather won’t cooperate, this week boomers are determined to move ahead as the promise of spring energizes them. Some boomers move ahead with new projects, while others are in a contemplative mood, attempting to slow down and enjoy the season’s newness.

Take a look at their articles on thriving in life, using intuition, looking back at the cartoons and TV shows we watched in the 1960s, falling apart after a loss helps people reconstruct themselves, figuring out what to do when an unexpected retirement occurs, determining what to do about recent data breaches at large companies, and learning about aging and retirement.
