The purpose is to review how far women throughout the world have come in their struggle for equality, peace, and development.

“Celebrating Women Artists,” an homage to Judy Chicago’s “The Dinner Party” that honors contemporary women artists, sponsored by the Pacific Northwest College of Art, Mezzanine of Main Campus Building, March 8 until 5 p.m.
Bellingham, Washington
Movie screening and discussion of “It’s a Girl,” a story of genocide of girls around the works, sponsored by Bellingham International Women’s Day Committee, Western Washington University, Viking Union, Room 552, 6 p.m.
Sacramento, California
Stop Violence Against Women Rally, sponsored by Women Organized to Resist and Defend or W.O.R.D., Southside Park and the California State Capitol, until 7:30 p.m.
