My advice for consumers in 2016 is to save as much money as you can and be sure you have an adequate emergency fund. If you haven’t begun retirement planning or you don’t have a strong strategy for retirement, get going on it now.
Despite a slow improvement in the economy during 2015, I think things will just continue to limp along during 2016. You need to be ready for anything.
I wrote about the top consumer news stories of 2015 and concluded it wasn’t a stellar year for consumers.
Then I wrote about the battle between consumers and corporations. In my opinion, corporations won – again – in 2015.
