Looking for a last-minute Labor Day trip? Or, if you live near one of these cities, want to join in the celebrations at a top, fun spot?
Here’s my list of America’s top 10 travel destinations for Labor Day 2011:
- Las Vegas
- Orlando
- Denver
- San Francisco
- New York
- Boston
- Seattle
- Chicago
- Los Angeles
- Atlanta
Hawaii dropped off my last year’s list, probably due to the cost. So did Santa Catalina Island, Calif., Palm Strings, and San Diego.
Emerging as new hot spots for Labor Day weekend this year are the big cities New York, Chicago, and Boston. Atlanta made the top 10 list, too.
I selected the cities after reading through several dozen travel websites. These cities appeared most often in the recommendations.
