I've been thinking about my dad a lot lately, especially when I've been planting my garden and working in my yard. My dad passed nearly 22 years ago.
We thought he would live a long time like his older brothers and sisters. My mom had diabetes so we thought she would leave us first. However, she outlived him 15 years.
My dad, a farmer, died from non-Hodgkins lymphome, which is linked to pesticide exposure.
You can be sure I don't use any pesticides in my yard.
