Tasting wine is my best consumer experience this week, while being refused service at a watch booth disappoints

With the torrential rains we’re having, I haven’t felt like
going out much. However, I did venture out and had a positive happening and one
not so good.

My best consumer experience: Tasting wine with a friend

Wine Barrels

A couple of months ago, I won $25 in a drawing from Olympia-Lacey-Tumwater Visitor &
Convention Bureau to spend at a winery on the South Sound Winery Trail.

After learning this area has wineries and enjoying two of
them, my friend and I decided to go another wine tasting tour.

We went to Northwest Mountain Winery, where I bought Blazing
Blackberry, a dessert wine. Next, at Madsen Family Cellars, I bought a bottle
of Orange Muscat, another dessert wine.

Although it was pouring down rain, we had a good time. We
ended our outing by visiting over a cup of tea at Starbucks.

My worst consumer experience: Being refused service at a
watch booth

On a rainy evening last week, I took off to the mall to buy
a watch battery.

When I arrived at the Precision Time booth, the clerk told
me it was 9 p.m. and the booth was closed. That seemed strange because I came
in the Macy’s entrance at 8:50 p.m., and I didn’t think it took me 10 minutes
to walk there. I questioned her about it, and she assured me it was 9 p.m. My
watch wasn’t working, so I didn’t know the correct time.

I walked back down the aisle and stopped at another booth to
ask the time. A man there said it was 9 p.m. The clerk at Precision Time lied
to me about the time.

The next day, I went to Batteries Plus to buy the battery.
And, I complained to the manager of Precision Time about not getting service
when I should have.
