It’s probably too late to hop a plane to take a special trip for St. Patrick’s Day holiday. However, if you live in or are close to one of the big cities that offer a great celebration, you’re in luck.
Top places to travel for the holiday are: New York City, Boston, Chicago, Washington, D.C., Philadelphia, San Francisco, Savannah, Ga., Las Vegas, Toronto, and San Diego.
Have a great St. Patrick’s Day celebration. I’m looking forward to it and celebrating my newly found Irish roots.

I’ve been to the St. Patrick’s Day parade in NYC on a few occasions over the years, sometimes on purpose, sometimes just because I was working in the area at the time. It’s lots of fun … but can get rowdy, ya know. Anyway, for me, it’s County Westmeath where some of my forebears lived.
Hi Tom,
I’ve never seen the New York City parade. It’s the biggest parade in the nation. Good to know it can get rowdy, in case I ever attend.
I just learned that my ancestors come from Kilkishen in County Clare. So, I’m really in the mood for St. Patrick’s Day this year.
