Time is running out for new voters to register and for people to change their address if they’ve moved since the last election.
Voter registration deadlines for the Nov. 4 election begin in some states this week.
If you’re not registered to vote, please do so.
If you’re registered, check in with those you know who recently turned 18, became a citizen, moved, or changed their name and help them register to vote or update their registration.
“This Election Day, Tuesday, November 4, millions of voters will head to the polls and stand up for what matters most to them, said Elisabeth MacNamara , chair, League of Women Voters.
“Together our votes will influence policies and issues that are addressed by our elected officials,” MacNamara said. “These elections are about our jobs, our health, our communities, our security, and our future. They are about us; we all need to weigh in.”
Yes, voting is very important to our consumer lives. Take the time to vote on candidates and ballot measures.
