I’m the host for this week’s Best of Boomer Blogs #380.
Well, we’re definitely chugging along in the winter season. The election is over, and Veterans Day is Tuesday. Thanksgiving will be here soon, followed too closely by Christmas and all that needs to get done before it magically presents itself.
Undeterred, baby boomer bloggers continue to provide information and insights for the Boomer Nation:
Tom Sightings of Sightings From Sixty points out that we just had a change in seasons. To find out how and why, take a walk with as he goes out to the mailbox and, as he reports in “A Surprise in the Mailbox,” comes back impressed with what he finds inside.
Laura Lee Carter of the Midlife Crisis Queen is starting her focus on gratefulness in preparation for Thanksgiving. She's also excited about new developments up at her build site in the foothills.
On the Modern Senior, Amy Blitchok shares her thoughts on the role of blogging in our culture and links to some great blogs that you should be following.
Meryl Baer of Six Decades and Counting wants to know where you get your news. Political news, that is. Meryl reports on a Pew Research Center survey that answers the question. Liberals and conservatives, representing the extremes of the political spectrum, obtain their news from different media and trust different news sources. She also adds a comment or two about Election Day 2014. Check out her post “Who Do You Trust?”
On my blog, I write about how to decipher the dates on turkey labels.
Be sure to take a look at these articles. And, leave a comment. Boomer bloggers love to hear from readers.
