Merry Christmas to all those who celebrate this day.
It’s so different this year. I usually go to Madrid to celebrate with my daughter and her family.
In the last 25 years, I’ve hardly been home to decorate a Christmas tree. Unlike when I was growing up and the family gathered for holidays at the oldest relative’s home, the younger generation likes to celebrate the holidays at their home. It was sad to be decorating the tree by myself.

I talked to my daughters over Zoom. They and their families are doing fine. I so hope they don’t get the coronavirus.

Then, I had a Zoom call with my sisters, my niece, and one of my daughters. It was fun to see everyone.

My dinner from a local French restaurant was fabulous. For Thanksgiving, I was late to order and had an average dinner from a grocery store.
My French dinner included Dungeness Crab Dip, Artisan County Loaf Bread, Salad Lyonnaise, Duck Leg Confit, Robuchon Potatoes, Bordelaise Sauce, and Chocolate Soufflé.
I had a nice pile of presents to open, including a red purse, chocolates, books, an organic bamboo cutting board, chocolate cake with dessert wine, cookies, and a coffee cup.
I can hardly wait for the pandemic to be over and travel again. It’s a big part of my life.
