In response to a recall by Satur Farms, Whole Foods Market is recalling some prepared foods items in eight states containing baby spinach because of potential contamination with Salmonella.
The products, including salads, pizza, sandwiches, and wraps, were sold in Connecticut, Florida, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, and Rhode Island. No illnesses have been reported.
The recalled products are labeled with a Whole Foods Market scale label and can be identified by the information below. Consumers who purchased items containing baby spinach from the salad bars or hot bars at Whole Foods in the states listed above should discard items purchased through January 23, 2019.

Salmonella is an organism that can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. Healthy persons infected with Salmonella often have a fever, diarrhea which may be bloody, nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain. In rare circumstances, infection with Salmonella can result in the organism getting into the bloodstream and producing more severe illnesses such as arterial infections (for example, infected aneurysms), endocarditis, and arthritis.
Customers who bought the recalled items can bring in a valid receipt to stores for a refund. Consumers with questions can call 844-936-8255 between 7 a.m. and 10 p.m. CST, Monday through Friday, or 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. Saturday through Sunday.
