Like many people, I’m beginning to notice signs of summer fading and fall approaching. Unfortunately. I’m not a fan of winter.
September marks the end of summer. Sales are already underway for Labor Day.
September is a great month to shop, meaning you don't have to wait until Black Friday for top-notch bargains. Even better, it features more than just Labor Day sales.
DealNews.com offers suggestions on what to buy in September – and what you should hold off on for now.
Labor Day sales
Look for bargains on clothing, mattresses, grills, appliances, patio furniture, and more. Sales are already underway. The photo above is my shopping excursion to Macy’s. I got some great deals; an additional 30 percent off on items that were already on sale.
September sales
You’re likely to find many of the items listed above on sale later in September. In addition, there will be more sales on school supplies. Bicycles, bedding and linens, and summer gardening gear also are likely to have reduces prices.
If you love coffee, look for fun offerings on National Coffee Day Sept. 29.
Things not to buy in September
For Halloween items, wait until October to buy. For cruises, fall clothing, winter holiday decorations, and toys, wait until November or December.
In addition to being pleased with my clothing bargains, I also got a reduced price on some shampoo I bought from California Baby. It was much appreciated because their prices are high.
