Republicans want Americans to be quiet while they take away our rights

First President Trump said it, then Sarah Huckabee Sanders. Now Mitch McConnell is on a “victory tour” saying it.

They’re calling anyone who disagrees with them a mob. We’re supposed to sit back and let Republicans take away our right to clean air and water, health care, consumer protection, vote, justice, civil rights, and more.

In addition, what's adding to the frustration is the media isn't reporting on the other side of this. They keep repeating what the Republicans are saying. It's unconscionable. The press needs to do better than that. I had to listen to the clip of Mitch McConnell over and over today. Finally, I just turned the radio off.

The people protesting at the national capital about the Kavanaugh nomination had the right to do so. I understand their anger and frustration. As one of three daughters, my earliest memories are of being discriminated against because I’m female. I’ve faced discrimination in every aspect of my life – job, marriage, finances, family, health, and church.

Jessica Campbell-Swanson, a 35-year-old from Denver, flew to Washington last week to lobby Sen. Cory Gardner, R-Colo., with a nonprofit group, End Rape on Campus, according to a Washington Post article. Campbell-Swanson was among those outside the Supreme Court.

“Brett Kavanaugh was allowed to be angry, and they were fine with that,” she said in the article. “We have a right to be angry. We’re not a mob. We weren’t violent. We were completely nonviolent.”

So protest the Republican's right to the ballot box. Vote them out. Trump and the Republicans are ruining America. Vote Nov. 6 and take America back.
