Black Friday and Cyber Monday have come and gone, but the deals don’t stop in December.
December has plenty of worthwhile deals especially if you can wait until after Christmas. In fact, you can snap up gifts for birthdays and other occasions in 2025 for great savings.
Green Monday
Green Monday, the second Monday in December, is one of the retail industry’s biggest shopping days in December, and it was started by eBay in 2007. Though it isn't as well-known as Black Friday or Cyber Monday, it’s still a good chance to get deals.
Look for bargains on home items, clothing, shoes, and computers.
Green Monday isn't your last chance to shop for the holidays, but you’re cutting it close. If you’re shopping online, it’s time to start counting the days – and the shipping cutoff dates – to be sure any packages you order will arrive on time.
Before Christmas
Super Saturday is the Saturday before Christmas. It often has worthwhile deals, but the supplies may be limited.
Keep comparing prices. Some retailers may continue some of their reduced prices from Black Friday and Cyber Monday throughout the month.
After Christmas
Amazon, Nike, and Target are a few top stores to check out for post-Christmas savings, although many retailers will be offering after Christmas sales. Be aware these events may have other names. Keep an eye out for seasonal sales, clearance events, and end-of-season sales from your favorite retailers.
After Christmas sales provide one more chance to get big discounts. Following a trend of holiday sales starting earlier and earlier, you may find some sales starting before Dec. 26.
Look for sales on clothing, shoes, socks, accessories, jewelry, and handbags. Beauty, personal care, and fragrance products as well as bed and bath items and home goods also are likely to be highly discounted.
You also may find discounts on toys, sports and outdoor goods, and even furniture.
And as always, Christmas décor, wrapping paper, and candy will see steep discounts.
Happy shopping. And, remember, don’t go over your budget. If you’ve overspent your spending plan, skip the After Christmas sales.
