Amy Blitchok of the Modern Senior is the host for this week’s Best of
Boomer Blogs #333.
This week’s blog roundup is packed full of useful
information and some great deals. It looks like the colder weather has boomer
bloggers thinking about health, family, and moving on.
Be sure to check out the latest, and in some cases, last
posts from our group of dedicated writers.
Laura Lee Carter of the Midlife Crisis Queen, who’s been in
charge of the Best of Boomer Blogs since I’ve been a member, is quitting
blogging. Laura says: “Alas, I tire of writing for free on the Internet…” She
read an article in The New York Times, “Slaves of the Internet, Unite,” which
resulted in her throwing in the towel.
John Agno of So Baby Boomer also is quitting, saying it’s
time to move on.
If you’re a baby boomer blogger and want to join our weekly
roundup, send me an e-mail.
What I wrote about the Best of Boomer Blogs this week is
National Caregivers Month. That’s a photo above of my parents and me after my
dad retired. I helped them for years, and like I said in my article, it was an
honor and a privilege to help them, although, at times, it was stressful and
heartbreaking.
Monday is Veterans Day, a day of rememberance for our veterans. I'm remembering my mom and dad. They were big figures in my life. Their era came and went so quickly. I miss them very much.
Be sure and tune in next week to see what baby boomer
bloggers are writing and thinking about.
