Could Oprah’s latest diet help you lose weight?

Oprah_Winfrey_2010Through the decades, we’ve all followed Oprah Winfry, the famous talk show host, as she’s struggled again and again with weight loss.

On Tuesday, Winfry appeared on Stephen Colbert’s The Late Show describing her loss of 42.5 pounds. Instead of counting calories, she’s using a point system. She’s allowed about 300 points. She said Colbert, since he’s taller, would be allocated more.

Winfry said she eats what she wants, pasta and potato chips sometimes.

She lost the weight using the Weight Watcher’s “Live Fully” program.

Winfrey bought 10 percent of the company in 2015. She’s featured on the cover of the Weight Watcher magazine for January-February 2017.

"Intention is the most powerful principle that rules my world," Winfrey said in magazine article. "I do nothing without first thinking about why I'm doing it. What is the real motivation?"

On Colbert’s show, she and the host prepared “sexy” scrambled eggs. They featured two egg whites and one full egg with hot sauce on the top and truffle zest sprinkled around the sides.

So, good luck to Winfrey, and millions of Americans, in keeping weight off.

It’s not easy in America with food available 24-hours a day and no limits on the amount of sugar, fat, and salt in processed food.
