Essential Medical Supply is recalling about 272,000 adult portable bed rails. When attached to an adult’s bed, users can become entrapped within the bed rail or between the rail and the side of the mattress. This poses a serious entrapment hazard and risk of death by asphyxiation.
Hundreds of thousands of consumers are having problems getting credit bureaus to correct their credit reports, an analysis by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau shows. Consumers submitted more than 700,000 complaints to the CFPB about Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion from January 2020 through September 2021.

The Sweet Truth Act, passed by the New York City Council recently, requires warnings on prepackaged food and drinks that contain more than a day’s worth of added sugars – 50 grams – at chain restaurants. The law is the first of its kind in the nation.
