Americans are expected to lose even more money to romance scams in 2022. With Valentine’s Day coming up, scammers are at work now targeting those looking for love. In 2020, reported losses to romance scams reached a record $304 million, up about 50 percent from 2019. For an individual, that meant a median dollar loss of $2,500.

New safety standards for crib mattresses approved

A federal safety standard to ensure that new crib mattresses, and mattresses sold for use in play yards and cribs, are safer for babies. Between January 2010 and April 2021, 139 fatalities and 355 injuries related to crib mattresses, occurred, according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.

FRIGG pacifiers are being recalled due to choking hazard

Mushie & Co. is recalling about 333,725 FRIGG Silicone Pacifiers. The base of the silicone nipple has a fine slit that can cause the nipple to detach from the plastic shield, posing a choking hazard. Mushie & Co. has received eight reports of the silicone nipple detaching.
