
During the Great Recession and its aftermath, small business owners, including those in baby boomer age group, had a difficult time selling their businesses.
About 10,000 baby boomers turn 65 every day and many of them are weighing their retirement options.
The outlook for boomers and other small business owners to sell their businesses is getting better as the economy improves.
Last year the online marketplace Bizbuysell.com reported a 49 percent jump in small business sales, according to the Marketplace article “Rising Small Business Sales Likely to Continue.”
Scott Bushkie, a board member with the International Business Brokers Association, said this year could be even better, the article said.
