Traveling is a big part of retirement for Meryl Baer of Six Decades and Counting.
Baer and her husband, whom she calls hub, just got back from a Thanksgiving trip visiting family, and she’s eager, turning the calendar over to December, to plan her next trip.
However, Baer didn’t need to change the page to tell her the holiday season has arrived. Announced with decorations illuminating main streets, lights, ornaments and Santas enlivening homes, store decor, and carols resounding from the radio, the festive atmosphere proclaims the season.
Baer reports baby boomer bloggers are writing about wise giving during the holidays, how to save money on holiday shopping, why you should consider your life goals not just your bucket list, and things retirees can’t afford to do.
Enjoy the holiday season and don’t forget to take time to relax and appreciate the festivities, Baer advises in the 476th issue of the Best of Boomer Blogs. And please take a few minutes from your holiday preparations to visit the websites of our boomer bloggers. We look forward to hearing from you.
