Laura Lee Carter of the Midlife Crisis Queen is the host for this week’s Best of Boomer Blogs #402.
Carter remembers fondly, as I do, making paper May baskets, filling them with flowers, and hanging them on neighbors’ front doors.
I also remember a few occasions where we did a Maypole dance. It was so much fun. Carter said they did them at her school. Ours must have been at school, too, because it might have been the only place with a tall enough pole.
The photo is of flowers from my yard. I’m really enjoying them this year. I’m often traveling for my birthday, which is today, so, by the time I come back, they’re mostly gone.
Other boomer bloggers are enjoying being a cowboy in the Mexican wilderness, remembering an American food icon, recommending how to avoid getting food poisoning from shrimp, and visiting the site of a former commune.
