The Sweet Leaf Tea Co. is recalling 1.5 million bottles 16-ounce glass bottles of Sweet Leaf Tea because they could contain glass fragments.
This was caused by glass breakage during the filling process, the company said. Consumers could be cut or injured if they swallowed the fragments. The company has received four complaints of glass in the tea. No injuries were reported.
The recall is limited to production codes of Sweet Leaf Tea, as follows, which were distributed between Feb. 27 and Dec. 6. Only 16-ounce glass bottles are affected, and only those listed below:

To find the manufacturing date and best by date of a bottle, consumers should look for the manufacturing code on the shoulder of a bottle or on the shipping case, as seen below:

The Sweet Leaf Tea said the recalled products are being removed from store shelves.
Consumers who have any of the glass bottles with the affected date codes shouldn’t drink it, the company said. They can contact Sweet Leaf at 877-832-5323 Monday through Friday 8 a.m. – 8 p.m. EST for replacement tea, or return it to the store where it was purchased for a refund.
