Giantex recalls lounge chairs after finger amputation

Giantex is recalling about 1,155 outdoor lounge chairs following a report of a finger amputation.

Consumers can place their fingers in a pinch point, when adjusting the lounge chair, posing an amputation risk.

The recall involves Giantex outdoor lounge chairs with model number NP10025NY. The lounge chairs, which are blue and measure 76-inches long, by 23-inches wide, by 13-inches high, have a five-position adjustable locking system. Model number NP10025NY is printed on the front and side of the product packaging.

The lounge chairs were sold at Giantex.com and Amazon.com from August 2023 through October 2025. The cost was between $75 and $90.

Consumers should stop using the recalled lounge chairs immediately and contact Giantex for a refund, the company and U.S. Consumer Product Commission advise. Consumers will be instructed to either request a prepaid return package or asked to destroy the recalled lounge chair by detaching the headrest pillow, cutting the fabric, and providing photographic proof of destruction.
