Columbus Day was my mom’s birthday, so it’s a day that’s always on my radar.
However, consumers might not be aware that they can save money on Columbus Day travel.

Amber Sager, spokeswoman for Offers.com, said you can get great deals for trips for the Columbus Day holiday. Two examples: trips from Seattle to Orlando, about $340 round trip, and Seattle to Las Vegas, about $390 round trip.
