Best wishes on Veterans Day

Veterans Day, which became a national holiday in 1938, is a day to recognize the contributions of the nation’s veterans. My uncle Frank Gilliam died in World Word II in the Battle of the Bulge. My aunt Irene had difficulties in her life after his death. That’s a photo of him to the left with my aunt.

With the Olympics, the world goes on – or does it?

With so much unknown about the coronavirus pandemic, I was opposed to the Olympics being held in Tokyo this year. However, once it began, I enjoyed watching the athletes perform. I turned on the TV when I got up to see what was on and watched it through the day and in the evening.
