Target is recalling about 174,300 letters to Santa decorative mailboxes. The mail slot on the mailbox can be sharp, posing a laceration hazard. Target has received nine reports of sharp mail slot openings and seven incidents of lacerations with three requiring medical attention.
E-filliate is recalling about 301,800 wireless earphones that can overheat while charging or in use, posing burn and fire hazards. E-filliate has received 61 reports of the earphones overheating during charging or use, including five reports of fire and four reports of minor burn injuries.
Drive DeVilbiss Healthcare is recalling about 496,100 adult portable bed rails in the United States, 68,000 in Canada, and 119 units in Mexico. When attached to an adult’s bed, users can become entrapped within the bed rail or between the rail and the side of the mattress.

Goodman Manufacturing Co. is recalling about 298,300 evaporator coil drain pans installed with residential condensing gas furnaces in the United States and about 44,000 in Canada. The molded plastic drain pan can overheat, melt, and deform, posing a fire hazard.
Two federal rules are being proposed to address unsafe cords in both stock and custom window coverings. Current standards are voluntary. Consumers who rent and have no buying choice are especially at risk for exposure to unsafe window coverings, said the CPSC.
