Baby boomer bloggers focus on health, care giving, moving, and history

Tom Sightings from Sightings Over Sixty is the host for this week’s Best of Boomer Blogs #362.

Sightings is reading Doris Kearns Goodwin’s book on Teddy Roosevelt called “The Bully Pulpit” and comments on an article about the singer Sting, 62, who made news recently when he announced that his children won’t be inheriting any of his money when he dies. He grew up poor and said he wants his children to have the same opportunities to learn as he had.

Amy Blitchok of the Modern Senior reports on a short film project, “Against Medical Advice,” that may resonate with caregivers who have taken care of their aging parents.

Laura Lee Carter of the Midlife Crisis Queen has recently moved from a busy metropolitan area to a small town in Southern Colorado. Check out her article to get some of her first impressions.

On my blog, I write about a recent study from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, which shows that excessive alcohol use accounts for about 88,000 deaths each year in the United States, or one in 10 deaths among working adults, age 20 through 64.

Be sure to check out these articles by baby boomer bloggers. And, leave a comment when you visit. Boomer bloggers love to hear from readers.
